Silk Painting Classes and Craft Shows
I teach silk painting classes at several locations throughout
Northeast Ohio.
The schedule is updated as new classes are added. Please check the schedule for new class dates. Each class is
designed to bring out your creativity and have fun! You do not have to be an artist to create beautiful designs on silk. You do need to bring your imagination and a willingness to experiment, explore and try something new.
You will learn how silk dyes are applied, resist techniques,
color mixing, brush characteristics, how to control the dyes and much more. This positive, supportive and informative class is open to
all ages and skill levels. You will choose and paint one 12” x 60”
silk scarf made of 100% China silk, jacquard, jacquard and chiffon, crepe or a flower/leaf or dots pattern piece. These scarves are
unique and each one takes silk dye and resist differently.
The
scarves will be steamed, and at the end of class you will take
your one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art home with you.
